The basic philosophy of QBQ® is at a higher level of abstraction than provided by alternative software. This is achieved, paradoxically, by managing data values (facts) and their relationships at the lowest level of detail. Data is managed at the atomic level therefore there is no level of detail that cannot be included.

QBQ® allows data items and rules to be defined in any natural language, for example English, French, German etc. This means that rules can be created and edited, speedily and simply, without knowledge of programming but with a knowledge of the QBQ® rule structure.

Versatile interactive data gathering

QBQ® gathers data values via an interactive dialogue in the form of questions that require a response. This dialogue may be performed in two ways:

  1. QBQ® can accumulate data values automatically by interfacing with other IT applications, irrespective of location or platform.

  2. QBQ® can gather data values manually, in any natural language, by interaction with a user operating, say, a keyboard or touch screen.

Some of the data gathered may be unique to a particular business process but a significant amount of data may also be common to other processes. QBQ® allows business processes to share not only common rules, but also common data.

Accuracy and consistency

As QBQ® business solutions are built, QBQ® checks to ensure that no conflict exists within the business processes that will give inconsistent results, therefore ensuring 100% accuracy at all times.

Data auditing and trend analysis

QBQ® has a full automatic audit function for tracking all questions and their responses. This, combined with a rule-based analytical business process, can be used to study data and predict trends.
